Please join us for a weekly gathering where the primary aim is to build stronger community bonds, inshaAllah. The program will be packed with an engaging lecture (brief, focused and interactive) in English with Br. Mohamed Soussi, food/snacks, and hang-out time with your fellow Muslims in gender appropriate settings.

When: Every Saturday beginning February 6th at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Dar Al Farooq (983 17th Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414).

1. Any Muslim looking for good company and community building

Winter Semester Just Started

Our esteemed Sheikh Waleed Menesse, Ph.D. is resuming his lectures for the winter session and he is offering a great variety of classes this semester! On Sundays, Sheikh Waleed is explaining Tafseer Ibn Katheer, one of the most famous books in Islamic literature. On Mondays, he is explaining Fiqh us-Sunnah, the Jurisprudence of the Prophet’s traditions, a great book to implement the manners of the Prophet (PBUH) in your daily life. On Tuesdays, in his Hadeeth lectures, Sheikh Waleed is explaining Saheeh al-Bukharee, the most authentic book after the Qu’raan. Finally on Wednesdays, our beloved Sheikh is reviewing the traditions of the Rightly Guided  Caliphs; for understanding the ways of the best Muslims helps us perfect our religion and get closer to the Creator. All lectures are eligible to take for credit as part of the Islamic University of Minnesota. All the required texts  are available for purchase at Dar al-Farooq bookstore. Lectures start at 7pm.

Al Farooq Academy

Al Farooq Academy has been established by Dar Al Farooq Community Center as a one day Weekend School for religious instruction for Muslim children under the guidance of Dr. Waleed Idris Al-Meneese. This program will run on Saturdays between the hours of 9.45 AM to 2.45 PM., for children between the ages of 6 years and 12 years.   In the second stage of the program we will introduce the same curriculum for children 13 years to 15 years of age on Sundays only.   The program is centered on an intense Arabic language curriculum which incorporates Quran memorization and Quranic understanding.  Islamic studies as an essential part of the program and will be taught both in Arabic and in English for older students whose native language is not Arabic. The school staff consists of very qualified instructors and an administration that is committed to the cause of Islamic education for our children and thus serving the cause of Allah Subhana-hu-wa-ta'ala.

The Recitation of Shaykh Waleed Idrees Al-Maneese

Alhamdulillah, we are finished producing the first ever recitation of Shaykh Waleed Idrees Al-Maneese! We recorded during the month of Ramadan during the taraweeh prayers, so this recitation is filled with blessings, insha Allah.
