Al Arqam Leadership Training Program for Young Muslim Boys |
WHAT? : Leadership Training classes will include teaching and testing from a book by Sheikh Naseeruddin Albany, “Prayer of the Prophet”; the etiquette of giving Friday Khutbah; the etiquette of giving dawah to non Muslims & Muslims; the importance of living by example and setting a good example for both Muslims & non Muslims. Also, children will be taught the proper etiquette of participating in sports and team work.

Empowering Muslim Sisters |
|
Starting June 13th This weekly event consists of two programs:
• Empowering Sisters Skills and Islam: Teen sisters will dialogue and ask FAQ about Islam. It includes other enhancing skills programs and many contests.
(Instructed by Aysha Wazwaz; B.A Islamic Jurisprudence, M.A Contemporary Islamic Studies, and Lecturer at the Islamic University of Minnesota)
• Empowering Sisters Physical Health: Sisters will get the chance to learn and play Basketball, Badminton and other sports.
(Instructed by Sr. Ariyati; PhD candidate at U of M in Sports & Recreation. Lecturer in Sports Education at Jakarta State University (Indonesia) for 12 years, Member Indonesian Women’s National Hockey Team 1984, Basketball Coach for teenage girls for 3 years, Black Belt Taekwondo Champion, First Indonesian woman to climb Annapurna IV (Nepal) and Aconcagua (Chile/Argentina) Mountains, initial member of the Indonesian Army Mount Everest Team; founder, president, organizer, trainer for the Indonesian Women's Mountain Club.
